Project Description: Livelihood Education to the Youth from Slum Areas and belonging to the migrant workers background. iLEAD project was designed to impart quality skill training to youth from slum areas and those who are migrant laborers in the Kathmandu valley. It had incorporated career guidance, confidence building, industry linkage and social capital enhancing activities to complement the impartation of technical skills. During the project period, more than 650 youths graduated from training with more than three quarters of them in working now in the formal sector. Based on the achievements in first phase, a 5-year phase of the project is in the final stage of agreement.
