Project Description: The aim of the project was to impart arc-welding skills training and job placement support for 500 unemployed and disadvantaged youths. With the help of the core management team training was provided in 13 different centres simultaneously. The project was carried out within the estimated timeframe as well as the estimated cost and quality requirements. As a result, 86% of the graduates where placed in jobs. The project received the Judge’s Commendation on the Achievement Award for excellence in project management presented by the Asia Pacific Federation of Project Management (APFPM) in December 2012 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
